Teletherapy Psychological Services

Dr. Lou is pleased to offer psychological services via teletherapy.  Teletherapy provides the flexibility of meeting from the privacy and comfort of your home or location that is convenient for you when unable to meet in person.  And telepsychology enables you to access psychological services as long as you are anywhere in the state of Maryland.

It’s easy to access the video platform VSee Messenger that is secure and HIPPA compliant (although it works differently than Zoom or some others).  You will need to go to this link:  https://vsee.com/s/5e568673334be and under “Accept Lou A’s Invitation”  and “New to Vsee? Sign Up” enter your email.

Then you will receive an email from VSee with a link that says “Accept Lou A’s Invite”.  Click on that yellow link and follow the instructions to create your account and download the VSee Messenger App to your device (laptop, phone or both).

Then you’re all set.  You will need to log on to the app at our scheduled appointment time and I will call you when I am available and we can begin our video session.

Experience has shown us that sometimes the screen freezes and if it does, I will disconnect and call you again.  If that does not work, I will call you on your phone and continue the session that way or by a different agreed upon video app.

It is helpful to disconnect other devices in your home from your wifi and to close other apps on your devices to maximize the connection.

I also highly recommend that you arrange to set up your sessions in a private place free from distractions and disruptions and also that maintains your confidentiality.
